Description
A delicious pull-apart bread combining the flavors of apple fritters with the fun of monkey bread. Made with refrigerated biscuits, fresh apples, and a sweet cinnamon coating, then finished with a vanilla glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuits
- 2 cups diced fresh apples (Granny Smith/Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease bundt pan with nonstick spray
- Mix coating: Combine sugar and cinnamon in bowl; add diced apples and toss until coated
- Prepare biscuits: Cut each biscuit into quarters and toss in remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture
- Layer: Place half the biscuit pieces in pan, drizzle with half the melted butter, add apple mixture, then remaining biscuits and butter
- Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and cooked through
- Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth, drizzle over warm bread before serving
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith to balance the sweetness and prevent mushiness during baking
- Let the bread cool for 10 minutes before inverting for easier removal from the bundt pan
- Drizzle glaze while bread is still warm for better absorption and flavor
- Don’t skip the butter between layers as it creates the signature rich texture and helps with browning
