  • Brussels sprouts – halved
  • Beef sirloin – cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper – to taste
  • Soy sauce
  • Thyme

Instructions

  • Prep: Wash and halve Brussels sprouts, cut beef sirloin into bite-sized pieces
  • Heat skillet: Heat large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp olive oil until shimmering
  • Sear beef: Cook beef in single layer for 3 minutes each side until golden brown, remove and set aside
  • Cook garlic: Add remaining oil if needed, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds
  • Add Brussels sprouts: Add halved sprouts, season with salt and pepper, cook 5-7 minutes until golden
  • Combine: Return beef to skillet, add soy sauce and thyme, stir well
  • Finish: Simmer on low heat for 3 minutes, serve warm with remaining sauce

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing beef to ensure proper browning and flavor development
  • Cut Brussels sprouts uniformly for even cooking and consistent texture throughout the dish
