Ingredients

  • 8 corn dogs, cooked per package instructions
  • 2 cups cooked chili, divided
  • 1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded, divided
  • 1 small onion, finely diced, divided
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely diced, divided

Instructions

  1. Carefully remove the wooden stick from the cooked corn dogs
  2. Slice each corn dog vertically down the center, about halfway through, being careful not to cut through all the way through the bottom
  3. Into the cut, add chili, cheese, onion, and jalapeño
  4. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Warm your chili slightly before adding it to the corn dogs to help melt the cheese naturally
  • Use finely shredded cheese rather than chunks for better distribution and melting
  • Remove jalapeño seeds completely if you prefer less heat, or leave some in for extra spice
  • Make shallow cuts in the corn dogs to prevent them from falling apart while eating
