Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 100g milk chocolate
  • 50g white chocolate (for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup dried dates, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tbsp rosewater
  • Edible gold leaf (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate: Break the dark and milk chocolate into pieces and melt them together using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between.
  • Flavor the chocolate: Once melted, stir in the cardamom and rosewater to infuse the chocolate with Middle Eastern flavors.
  • Add the mix-ins: Stir in the chopped pistachios, almonds, dates, and apricots.
  • Set the bar: Pour the mixture into a lined square pan, spreading it evenly. Tap the pan to remove any air bubbles.
  • Decorate: Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the top. Optionally, place pieces of edible gold leaf on top for a luxurious touch.
  • Chill and set: Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
