Easy 15-Minute Seafood Salad with Shrimp and Crab

  • Author: Jennie Graham
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This easy seafood salad is the perfect no-cook meal made with succulent shrimp, sweet crab meat, and a tangy creamy dressing. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s fresh, protein-packed, and ideal for quick lunches, elegant appetizers, or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked salad shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 pound cooked crab meat (lump or imitation)
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Finely chop celery, red onion, and red bell pepper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chopped vegetables with shrimp and crab.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, and Old Bay.
  4. Season dressing with salt and pepper; pour over seafood mixture.
  5. Gently fold everything until evenly coated.
  6. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Stir gently before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Pat seafood dry before mixing to avoid watery salad.
  • Adjust salt and seasonings just before serving, as cold dishes need extra flavor.
  • Make ahead to improve flavor depth—this salad tastes better after chilling.
  • Use real lump crab for best texture and flavor; imitation works for budget-friendly options.
