Description

This fried egg grilled cheese combines melted cheese and perfectly cooked eggs between golden buttery bread. A satisfying meal that transforms simple ingredients into comfort food perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices thick Texas-style bread
  • 2 slices Colby jack cheese
  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese
  • Butter for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice and set aside
  2. Melt butter in a frying pan over low heat
  3. Fry eggs to your preferred doneness
  4. Season eggs with salt and pepper
  5. Remove eggs from heat when done
  6. Place bread buttered-side down in second pan
  7. Add Colby jack cheese slice on bread
  8. Place two fried eggs on cheese
  9. Top eggs with pepper jack cheese
  10. Add second bread slice, buttered-side up
  11. Cover and cook until golden brown on both sides
