  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions, divided
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

  • Prep and Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 2-quart baking dish with nonstick spray
  • Blanch Beans: Boil trimmed green beans for 3 minutes until bright green but crisp. Drain immediately
  • Make Sauce: Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and half the crispy onions until smooth
  • Combine: Fold blanched green beans into sauce mixture until completely coated
  • Assemble: Pour mixture into prepared dish, top with remaining crispy onions
  • Bake: Bake 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before serving

Notes

  • Use an ice bath after blanching to stop cooking immediately and preserve the perfect tender-crisp texture
