Description

A quick and comforting dish with creamy mushroom sauce and ground beef, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into crumbles. Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
  • Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  • Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir to coat. Gradually whisk in beef broth to create a smooth sauce. Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a simmer.
  • Combine and Simmer: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in sour cream until the sauce is creamy and heated through (do not boil).
  • Serve: Toss the sauce with cooked egg noodles. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
