Halloween Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Orange and black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Warm milk to 110Β°F, dissolve sugar, activate yeast until frothy (10 minutes)
  2. Mix & Rise: Combine ingredients, knead until smooth for 5-7 minutes, let rise for 1 hour
  3. Shape: Roll dough, add cinnamon filling, slice into 12 even pieces
  4. Bake: Second rise for 30 minutes, bake until golden for 20-25 minutes, prepare glaze
  5. Finish: Cool slightly, apply colored glaze, create Halloween designs while rolls are warm

Notes

  • Test milk temperature with your wrist – should feel barely warm
  • Don’t over-flour during kneading to maintain soft texture
  • Cover rolls with damp towel during rising to prevent drying
