Honey Lime Salmon

A delicious pan-seared salmon with a sweet honey glaze and fresh mango salsa that creates the perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 large mangoes, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • Β½ red onion
  • 1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep: Dice mangoes, bell pepper, onion, and cilantro. Combine in bowl with lime juice and salt
  2. Season: Rub salmon with olive oil, season generously with salt and pepper on both sides
  3. Cook: Melt butter in skillet, stir in honey. Add salmon, cook 4-5 minutes per side
  4. Finish: Check salmon is opaque and caramelized. Top with mango salsa and serve immediately

Notes

  • Pat salmon completely dry before seasoning to ensure proper searing and caramelization
  • Use a meat thermometer – salmon is done at 145Β°F internal temperature
  • Let mango salsa sit 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to develop
  • Mango salsa can be made up to 2 hours ahead and refrigerated
