Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium ripe avocados (2 cups cubed)
- 1 small ripe mango (1½ cups diced)
- ¼ medium red onion (½ cup diced)
- ½ medium jalapeño pepper (seeded, diced)
- ⅓ cup fresh cilantro (loosely packed)
- 2 limes (about 2 tbsp fresh lime juice)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Place cubed avocados in mortar or large bowl. Mash slightly with pestle or fork, leaving some texture.
- Add diced mango, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and sea salt to mashed avocados.
- Gently mash and mix with pestle or fork until reaching desired texture, keeping mango chunks intact.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, lime juice, or jalapeño as needed before serving.
Notes
- Choose mangoes that yield slightly to gentle pressure but aren’t overly soft to maintain chunk integrity
- Dice the red onion finely to distribute flavor evenly without overwhelming individual bites
- Remove jalapeño seeds completely for mild heat, or leave some seeds for extra spiciness
- Add lime juice gradually and taste frequently to achieve perfect acidity balance
- Let the guacamole rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld together
