- 1 package (16 oz) phyllo dough (thawed)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (melted)
- 1.5 cups Nutella hazelnut spread (melted)
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup pure honey
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 350Β°F. Cut phyllo to fit 9×13 dish. Melt butter and Nutella separately.
- Layer Base: Butter dish. Layer 6 phyllo sheets, brushing each with melted butter.
- Fill & Repeat: Add Nutella, hazelnuts, honey. Layer 6 more phyllo sheets. Repeat filling process.
- Finish & Bake: Top with remaining phyllo. Cut into squares, then triangles. Bake 30 minutes until golden.
- Final Touch: Drizzle with remaining honey immediately. Rest 2 hours. Add final Nutella drizzle.
Notes
- Keep phyllo covered with damp towel while working to prevent cracking and tearing
- Score completely through all layers before baking for clean cuts after cooling
- Warm Nutella slightly in microwave for easier spreading and better layer distribution
- Allow baklava to cool completely for 2 hours before serving for best texture and easier cutting
