Ingredients

  • 1 lb (80/20 blend) Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crisp Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium, sliced Tomato
  • ½ cup Pickles

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Patties – In a large bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper; mix gently and form into four equal patties
  • Step 2: Heat Grill – Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F) for optimal cooking temperature
  • Step 3: Cook Patties – Grill patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare; adjust cooking time to desired doneness
  • Step 4: Add Cheese – In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt
  • Step 5: Toast Buns – Toast burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until golden brown and slightly crispy
  • Step 6: Assemble – Place patty on bottom bun, then add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and any additional desired toppings

Notes

  • Don’t overwork the meat when forming patties to keep them tender and juicy
