Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a store-bought crust, pre-bake the pie crust according to package directions, or bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside.
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Stir in the shredded cheese, cooked meat, and sautéed vegetables.
- Assemble the quiche: Pour the egg mixture into the pre-baked pie crust, spreading the filling evenly.
- Bake: Bake the quiche for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean. If the crust starts to brown too much, cover the edges with foil.
