Description

A delicious and easy one-pan recipe combining savory Italian sausage with sweet Honeycrisp apples and aromatic rosemary for a perfect weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 medium Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to fully preheat
  • Prepare Ingredients: Slice sausages into bite-sized pieces, core and wedge apples, slice red onion
  • Combine Everything: In a large bowl, mix sausages, apples, onions, rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper
  • Arrange on Sheet: Spread the mixture evenly on a large baking sheet in a single layer
  • Roast and Toss: Bake for 25-30 minutes, tossing halfway through for even cooking
  • Serve: Serve warm directly from the pan or transfer to individual plates

Notes

  • Choose firm Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples that won’t turn mushy during roasting
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan – use two sheets if needed to ensure proper browning
  • Pierce sausages lightly with a fork before cooking to prevent bursting
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup and prevent sticking
