Easy Sausage Egg Breakfast Crescents Recipe

  • Author: Jennie Graham
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 crescents 1x

Description

Golden flaky crescents filled with scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and savory halal sausage links. Ready in just 30 minutes for the perfect morning treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 halal breakfast sausage links, fully cooked
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar or American work great)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat eggs in a small bowl, reserving 1 tablespoon for brushing.
  2. Scramble remaining eggs until just set but still creamy.
  3. Unroll crescent dough onto clean work surface. Separate into 8 individual triangles.
  4. Cut each cheese slice in half. Place one half on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Add a spoonful of scrambled eggs on top of the cheese.
  6. Place one halal sausage link on the eggs.
  7. Roll up triangles starting from wide end, enclosing filling completely.
  8. Arrange crescents on ungreased baking sheet with points tucked under.
  9. Brush tops with reserved beaten egg. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  10. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill crescents or they’ll burst open during baking
  • Let scrambled eggs cool slightly before adding to prevent soggy bottoms
  • Seal edges well by pinching dough together
  • Space crescents 2 inches apart for even browning
  • Check bottoms at 15 minutes – they should be golden brown when done
