- 2–4 tbsp milk

Instructions
- Prep Dough: Combine all dough ingredients in mixer, knead until smooth ball forms, chill overnight
- Shape: Let dough rise 30 minutes, roll ½ inch thick, cut heart shapes with cutters
- Fry: Heat oil to 375°F, fry 3-4 doughnuts 1 minute per side until golden
- Finish: Roll in sugar while warm, fill with jam, glaze and add sprinkles
Notes
- Temperature control is crucial – use a candy thermometer to maintain 375°F oil temperature throughout frying
- The overnight rise develops complex flavors – don’t skip this step for exceptional results
- Fill doughnuts just before serving to prevent soggy bottoms from jam seepage
- Warm the jam slightly before filling for easier piping and better distribution
