Instructions

  3. Step 3: Blend smooth – Use immersion blender to blend mixture until completely smooth. Return to low heat if using regular blender.
  4. Step 4: Add dairy – Mix in heavy cream and grated cheddar cheese. Stir continuously until cheese melts and combines smoothly.
  5. Step 5: Finish and serve – Add chopped basil leaves and season with salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes before serving hot.
