Description

This Smoked Lemon Garlic Salmon on the Traeger grill is light, flavorful, and perfect for a healthy dinner. It’s infused with a gentle smoky flavor and brightened with lemon and garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large salmon fillet (about 1 ½ lbs)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (or ½ tsp dried dill)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices and fresh dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prep the Salmon: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture evenly over the salmon fillet.
  • Preheat the Traeger: Preheat the Traeger grill to 180°F for a gentle smoke flavor.
  • Smoke the Salmon: Place the salmon directly on the grill grates, skin-side down. Close the lid and smoke for about 1 hour, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 140°F and flakes easily.
  • Increase Temperature: For a crispier finish, increase the temperature to 375°F and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Serve: Remove the salmon from the grill, garnish with fresh dill and lemon slices, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve with a side of grilled asparagus or a fresh green salad.
  • The leftover salmon works well in salads, wraps, or scrambled eggs.
