Loaded Velveeta Cheeseburger Sliders Recipe

  • Author: Jennie Graham
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 24 sliders 1x

Description

These loaded Velveeta cheeseburger sliders combine juicy beef, savory sausage, and creamy melted cheese for the ultimate party food. Ready in just 15 minutes, they’re perfect for game day or feeding a hungry crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend works best)
  • 1 lb pork sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 lb (16 oz) Velveeta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 24 slider buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break up the meat as it cooks. Cook until no pink remains, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Drain the meat thoroughly. Remove all excess grease by tilting the pan and spooning it out. This prevents greasy sliders.
  3. Cut Velveeta into 1-inch cubes. Add to the drained meat along with Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently. The cheese will melt in about 5 minutes. Stir until completely smooth and bubbly.
  5. Spoon the hot mixture onto slider buns. Serve immediately while the cheese is still melty and delicious.

Notes

  • Don’t skip draining the meat – excess grease will make your sliders soggy and separate the cheese sauce
  • Cut Velveeta into small, uniform cubes for faster, more even melting throughout the mixture
  • Toast your slider buns lightly for extra flavor and to prevent them from getting soggy
  • Keep the filling warm in a slow cooker on the “warm” setting during parties for easy serving
  • Add jalapeños, crispy turkey bacon, or caramelized onions for extra flavor variations
